Ok, I'm going to try not to gush like a geek, but this is fucking A.
Watching the cast training is fantastic. Thank you Edgar.

Ahhhh.... all's "wright" with the world. Sorry, I had to say it. With this and Daily photo, you're just gonna make the wait for this movie even harder... DAMN YOU! But still, it looks like ya'll are havin a lot of fun. Can't wait to see more!

It has been a really, really, really long time since I have looked forward to the release of a film. I can't wait to see "Scott" live and in action!
holy christ. i can not tell you how excited i am for this. everything they've announced or shown us about this movie has been perfect so far, and this video is just further proof. i'm loving it!
hey edgar, if you want another band for the movie, just shoot me an email! ;)
brilliant video! have missed your video blogs - what a great insight. yeah lose the set beard grandad! (though i like the 'filming' beards). can't wait for next weeks....
The "hairy authority" was good but I prefer the "youthful" look
This video was such a feast for the eyes that I had to watch it twice to take it all in!
And that sword-fighting looks way too fun to be allowed...
Looking very much forward to Video Blog Number Two! :)

This is truly the best thing on the internet. Between this and the daily photos on Edgar's site I think I can hold out until the movie comes out (and the 6th book).
Edgar, thanks for all the work you are putting into Scott Pilgrim.
Kev
That's quite a move from Cera, straight out of Crouching Tiger!
This is great...i remember watching all the ones leading up to Hot Fuzz! That was a mighty leap backwards from Michael Cera haha...can't wait for the film, might be a bit odd seeing and Edgar film without Simon and Nick
your directing style is sooo.... old skool yet skittish and weirdly 'indie chld' so i rekon you'll do a bloody good job on scott pilgrim since it's just that as a comic yeah!! =D what a great choice of a comic adaption too =)bbbb
also i can't wait to hear the moosic that will come of this~ <D
Lucas
Edgar, you are a hero and a fantastic director, i cannot wait for this film!
Ed S.
Edgar, where did you get that "El Santo" shirt? I desperately need one!
I have to say, when I first heard about this film getting made I was kind of horrified, I was worried the comic would be butchered, but everything I've seen about the production makes me happier and happier :D In fact I did a girly squee noise when I saw that photo with the SEX BOB-OMB drum
Ánimo Edgar con esta tu primera incursión en el cine comiquero! La obra de Bryan Lee O'Malley no puede haber contado con un mejor paladín. Suerte y estaremos atentos a tus evoluciones. // Go on Edgar with this first incursion in comic to film adventure! Bryan Lee O'Malley's work couldn't have a better choice as director. Good luck and we keep an eye on your work.
Hey man!, What a cool "Mexican Lucha" t-shirt you have (with the classical "Santo, the silver masked man" design)! I 'll be waiting to see your movie, it looks terrific!
Saludos y mucha suerte!

^^ is that the mexican wrestling? i'm mildly obsessed with mexico at the moment, so anything mexican catches my eye.
(if you reply, as a mexican - can you tell me if 'pulqeros' is the proper name for the fermented cactus drink? or have i got that completely wrong? ta!
Watching the actors training kind of reminded me of the line from Wayne's World:
Garth: "What are you gonna do with these guys?"
Wayne: "Oh, nothing really. I just always wanted to open a door to a room where people were being trained like in James Bond movies."
(Only without the flamethrower guy.)
It'll be fantastic to see Toronto playing itself in a non-Canadian movie, for once. (Okay, I understand that Toronto was also featured in THE LOVE GURU, but I didn't see that movie as it was supposed to be total tosh.)
'PULQUE' is the correct word for that delicious beverage made from the fermented juice of the 'MAGUEY' (the same plant whrere the TEQUILA is produced). 'PULQUEROS' is the name of the people who makes 'PULQUE'. Here in Mexico PULQUE is very cheap & easy to find (in any city or town you can find a 'Pulque store' called 'PULQUERIA' and you can get it in natural or in a diversity of 'fruit-flavored mixes' lique Strawberry, Guayaba (Guava), Oats, Peanuts, Almonds, etc.
Soon I'll make a ''Mexican POP-CULTURE blog'' in English & Spanish to share cool stuff from my country with all you people! Check it soon here - www.lysandermix.blogspot.com

i cannot believe this film is actually happening! i'm so excited to see how everything is going to relate, and fit together. i'm also totally stoked that i finally get to hear SEX BOB-OMB - oh the joy of terrible rock music!
Tim Nicley
LOL@Simon's comment! xD Hairy Child... I didn't think so, I thought you looked older. hehe...Anyways, looking forward to the other blogs and the movie!

This makes me very happy - it should serve as good evidence to the fanboy prats who all proclaimed to me that your directing SP was the biggest mistake of all time. Clearly, you have been working on this for longer than they had been reading it. In your face, fanboy twats!
(Master Wright, are you making up for the lack of beard with the abundance of hair? I'm more jealous of your hair now than every before.)

buenos dias lisandro. thanks so much - wow great information. i had a feeling it was a cheapish drink, but had no idea about the flavours. i'm trying to write something so that info is a great help (tho one day i will have to go to mexico - but in the meantime thanks!). gracias.
Brett
Hey edgar, can I be in the film?
Lloyd
Watched Hot Fuzz the other day and was thinking "Edgar really looks awful without a beard", but you know what, it looks okay now, it was probably that you were trying to look like a vaccuous petrol attendant.
pieface
dyou mean the guy in the sunglasses/epiphany moment in the garage near the end, who says 'can i help you sir?' thats not edgar! i really thought it was as well - but he's one of the 118 guys (soz don't know his actual name..!)
STRUETYIUJRTUJ^UY$%^YTGRTY*IJU%UHTYH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I CANNOT WAAAAAIIITTTTTT!!! Scott Pilgrim is why my heart beeeeeeattttsssss. Lookin great so far, guys. <333

...Simon Pegg comented here.
Why can't this be easy to believe to me...? Ehh, anyways, been stoked for this since I heard you were the director. Been a fan since ... what? Late 2006?
Here’s some amazing poster art by the very talented Sam Gilbey for my Curzon Soho show on Feb 19th. Please note that: 1) Bronson is twice as badass in black and white. 2) Osymyso is set to DJ on the night. You need no further encouragement to come. For those jonesing for more Wright Stuff presentations, I offer you a [...] […]
The finger gunfights in SPACED were always my favourite sequences in the whole damn show. If you haven’t seen them and you really should’ve by this point…then see below. Spaced – the original gunfight sequences; If you have seen the above scenes and have always wanted to…be in one…then read on. Some crazy cats on Facebook are organising [...] […]
For those jonesing for more Wright Stuff presentations, I offer you a temporary and quite awesome salve. I haven’t been able to schedule anymore double bills at the Prince Charles due to my quite insane schedule and print availability in the UK of some of my favourite cult items, but… The good folks at Curzon Soho have [...] […]
This is a tad late, but I wanted to share my Top 30 tracks of 2009 with you people. I was very busy for all of last year, so I didn’t get as much time to listen to whole albums as much as I’d like. Given how crazy busy I’ve been working, this is almost [...] […]
